Artisan Instruments continues the tradition of Aztec Mayan drums and West Indies Trinidadian Steel Pans with its hand-crafted tongue drums that come single or double-sided, in any scale imaginable, and in hot steel, solid colors, or colored gradients. This instrument is truly a work of art.
Our World Famous family of Kashakas are a percussive instrument consisting of two hardwood balls filled with steel pellets connected together with a sturdy piece of adjustable paracord rope. The balls come in three sizes, there are five choices for rope color in addition to black. Very good instruments, soft string, sufficient weight of the kashakas which allows good rebounds and gives good inertia. I’m beyond delighted with this order. The craftsmanship and quality of tone exceeded my expectations! This one had everything I was looking for and Kris even volunteered to do the filing adjustments required should I desire a different tone. As it turns out I loved it as is, especially the unique accessories – I had originally thought the standard rubber feet would be best for not getting the bottom scratched up…but when it arrived it was evident the beautiful mallets and resting nest were what really set it apart from the others out there – we play this everyday!
Excellent care and attention went into this beautiful design. Packaged so well with a note telling me which notes correspond with the numbers. This was created specifically for my sound baths for participants who are healing from trauma and appreciate the lower more calming tones . It’s an honor to receive such a gift with such nice energy . Lots of time and effort put into this . 🙌💙

Absolutely love my drum! It is a beautiful colour and super durable (got mine in green). Really fun to play! I was able to get numbers on it to help learn the keys. The sound is beautiful. I also got it to take out when friends and family come over to play around with and will be a great addition to parties and gatherings! I love how both adults and kids can play around and have fun with it! I got in contact with Kris and he is super friendly and very knowledgeable about which drum was best for me. Would 10/10 recommend it!
