These natural asalato are handcrafted using dried gourds sustainably harvested near a small village in Senegal by our friend Moïse and his community. Once yearly, this incredible fruit is hand-selected, cleaned with care, and sent across the ocean to our Kootenay workshop where we assemble each pair by hand.
Size & Feel: This first batch features our smallest gourds, comparable to our Laka Kashakas at approximately 1.75″ / 4.45cm each. The 5mm rope adjusts to any hand size by sliding the center knot. Every gourd is beautifully unique.

Kiseng Kiseng Guarantee: Handcrafted from natural Senegalese gourds, each instrument is a unique work of art. While offering authentic traditional sound and feel, these gourds are naturally less durable than our Kashaka Series and may be prone to breakage with aggressive play. Each set receives a protective finish coating and comes with a 60-day guarantee from purchase date.
